The R/V Cathy G was built in 1972 in Biloxi Mississippi at the Covacevich Shipyard. The shipyard was started by J.D. Covacevich in 1896 and they built their last vessel in 1982. J.D. Covacevich was the famous Biloxi Schooner shipwright. They continued to do ship repair until 2005 when the shipyard was destroyed by hurricane Katrina. The R/V Cathy G was built during the Gulf Coast shrimping boom in the 1970s and bought by Mr. Chencho Garcia and his wife Julia. They named the vessel after their daughter Cathy. Matt and Heidi Cline have owned and lived aboard the R/V Cathy G since 2004.

Aquetec LLC, Prince William Sound Lodging is a small, Disabled Veteran owned business, locally owned and operated by year round Alaskans Matt and Heidi Cline. Matt is originally from Tillamook, Oregon, and as a well-traveled military child, he always had a strong desire to explore the Alaskan wilderness. In 1986, he finally fulfilled his wish and moved to Alaska. Matt's mechanical and boating skills were in high demand in this fishing and boating state, and his work took him from Anchorage to Seward, Cook Inlet to the North Slope, and from the interior to the coast. Matt has spent more than 28 years boating in the Alaskan waters in tiny, open skiffs to 100' boats, including doing his time with Alaska's commercial fisheries. He holds a USCG 200 ton Master License, and is a licensed game transporter. As a qualified Alaska naturalist, Matt will have you enthralled with his Alaskan stories and wealth of knowledge.
Heidi Cline was born and raised in Durban, South Africa, and has worked amongst birds and wildlife all her life, from managing wilderness lodges to managing and designing bird parks, including Treehaven Waterfowl Trust (the largest collection of waterfowl in the world), to owning her own birds, to curating the seabird collection at the Alaska SeaLife Center, to working on Endangered Species breeding and research programs such as the African wattled cranes and Alaska's Steller's eiders. After a birding trip to Alaska in 2000, Heidi fell in love with Alaska and immigrated here in 2002. Heidi holds a USCG 200 ton Master License, has a Master's degree in Ornithology, has a passion for all wildlife and photography, and will take care of all your travel needs and logistics.
